Robert Scrivener
1812–78
Architect. Had a practice in Hanley, Staffordshire. A member of the Methodist New Connexion; Sunday School teacher. Designed several major buildings in Hanley. Hanley’s first mayor, 1857. Altered and extended Breadsall Priory in Derbyshire.
