Roxalana Powell Tilden Nipher
1819–1904
American. Descended from Nathaniel Tilden, who settled in Massachusetts in 1634 and was a brother of one of the London merchants who fitted out the Mayflower. Married Peter Nipher. In 1863, moved with him and their three children to Iowa City, where they owned a grant of government land.
