Thomas Bungelene
d. 1865
Aboriginal Australian. Under the sponsorship of the Board of Education, studied at the Merri Creek School, near Melbourne, at the National School at Moonee Ponds, and from 1860 with Robert Doig, schoolmaster, when other schools refused to take him. Served on board the ship Victoria, and as a clerk in the Mines Department.
