Peter Fredrik (Pehr) Wahlberg
1800–77
Swedish botanist and natural historian. Professor of pharmacy and natural history at the Karolinska Institute, 1828–62; of materia medica, 1836–62. Travelled to study botanical collections, natural history museums, and agricultural institutes in Europe. Secretary of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, 1848–66; represented the academy at parliament, 1844–51.
