Theodor Horschelt
1829–71
German painter. Studied at the academy of art, Munich. Travelled to Spain and North Africa, 1853–4. Painted hunting scenes and animals. Travelled to Tbilisi in 1858, where he painted battle scenes. Worked in Russia, 1860–3. Married Marie Boner, daughter of Charles Boner, in 1865. Travelled to Strasbourg, 1870.
