Antoinette Sophie Laure (Sophie) Duvaucel
1789–1867
French aide-naturaliste. Stepdaughter of Georges Cuvier. Acted as secretary to Cuvier and worked unofficially as aide-naturaliste at the Jardin des Plantes. Married Alexandre-Louis Ducrest de Villeneuve.
