Daughter of James Edwards, bookseller, of Pall Mall, London, and his wife Catherine Bromhead. Stepdaughter of Thomas Butt, curate of Trentham, Staffordshire. Married Frederick Carne Rasch (1808–76), lawyer, in 1842.
