William Pelham

Of Brocklesby, Lincolnshire. Matriculated at Magdalen College, Oxford, in 1607; entered Lincoln’s Inn in 1609. Married Frances, daughter of Edward Conway, Viscount Conway. Served abroad under his father and held several offices under the Crown. Fought for Charles I in the English Civil War. Knighted, 1616.
