Henry Hicks

1837–99

Geologist and medical practitioner. Practised medicine at St David’s, 1862–71, then at Hendon, Middlesex; proprietor of a women’s asylum at Hendon. President of the Geological Society of London, 1896–8. Wrote more than sixty papers on geological subjects. FRS 1885.
