German-born governess. Daughter of Richard Ludwig, accountant, of Hamburg. Governess to the Darwin family, 1860–3. Translated German works for CD. Married Reginald Saint Pattrick, vicar of Sellinge, Kent (Alum. Oxon.), in 1874.
