Baptised in Derby, the daughter of William and Mary Ann Hadley. Brought up in Derby by Susanna Hadley (née Parker; daughter of Erasmus Darwin, 1731–1802) and Henry Hadley. Married Richard Greaves in 1854. Lived in Cheltenham.
