Laura Mary Forster

1839–1924

A life-long friend of Henrietta Emma Litchfield, whom she met while staying in Wales in 1865. An aunt of E. M. Forster. Made observations on harvester ants in Algiers for John Traherne Moggridge in 1872. Lent her house to the Darwins in 1879 so that CD could have a complete rest.
