Guillaume Benjamin Amand Duchenne
1806–75
French physician. Studied medicine at Paris, then practised in his native town of Boulogne-sur-Mer. Returned to Paris in 1855 and carried out experiments on the therapeutic use of electricity. One of the founders of neurology.
