My dear Sir

I enclose a draft for £10s 100 due tomorrow (ie 27th) as I believe.— I return you my very sincere thanks for all your great kindness & assistance to my Boys. I cannot say how I regret for our own sake your projected African Expedition. I yet hope it may be deferred, at least till the Spring.

My dear Sir | Yours very sincerely | C. Darwin

P.S. | My servant will call after 12 oclock for the Arum plant for which I am much obliged.—
