Breeder of domesticated fowls. Kept an egg-producung business at Monk Barnes, Hampstead, London. Author of works on cookery, gardening, and poultry keeping. For some years, editor of the Poultry Chronicle and the poultry department in the Field. Moved to Jersey, Channel Isles, before 1881.
