Richard Hill Tiddeman
1842–1917
Geologist. Worked on the Geological Survey of England, 1864–1902. Elected president, Yorkshire Geological Society, 1914. Worked on carboniferous rocks of Yorkshire, took part in the excavation of the Victoria cave, Settle, and studied the glaciation of North Lancashire.
