Henry Stuart Russell
1818–89
Pastoralist, explorer, and historian in Australia. Emigrated from England in 1840. Settled at Cecil Plains on the Darling Downs with his brother, Sydenham Russell, 1841–9. Settled in Brisbane, 1850; in Sydney, 1859. Served on the Legislative Council of New South Wales, 1853–5.
