Surgeon and ophiologist. MRCS (England), 1860. Army Medical Department; surgeon to the Royal Artillery; surgeon major, 1881. Stationed in Burma and Madras, India. Retired by 1891. Working for the Alfred Booth Steamship Company, 1901. Died in France. Wrote on Indian snakes.
