William Henty
1808–81
Lawyer and politician. Emigrated to Tasmania in 1831. Solicitor at Launceston, Tasmania; member of the Legislative Assembly of Tasmania. Colonial secretary for Tasmania, 1857–62. Returned to England in 1863. Author of Our improvements in cottage husbandry (1850).
