Herbalist. Superintendent of the gardens of Lord Burghley in the Strand, London, and at Theobalds, Hertfordshire; had his own garden at Holborn, London. Published his famous Herball in 1597. Chosen master of the Barber-Surgeons’ Company, 1607.
