Gustavus Augustus Eisen
1847–1940
Swedish-born biologist and archaeologist. PhD, University of Uppsala, 1872. Emigrated in 1873 to the United States, where he became noted for his research on American earthworms and antique glass and metalwork. Helped to establish Sequoia National Park in 1890.
