Scottish. Daughter of John Pew of Hilltown, Kirkcudbrightshire. Married William Copland of Colliston, Dumfries, in 1807; widowed, 1808. Married Sir William Drysdale (1781–1847), for many years treasurer of the city of Edinburgh, in 1820. Mother of John James Drysdale, a leading homoeopathic doctor. Mother-in-law of the hydropathic specialist Edward Wickstead Lane. Died in her 98th year.
