William Burrows Bowles
1836–95
American banker. Married his wife, Marie, in Boston, Massachusetts, in 1857. Partner in the bank Bowles Brothers and Co. Secretary and agent of the United States Sanitary Commission (European branch) in Paris, 1863–5. Bowles Brothers declared bankrupt, 1872.
