My dear Tyndall.
I am very sorry to give you trouble; but it has just occured to me that I ought not to leave a copy of H’s confidential letter to me in the hands of any one. As I do not know to whom the copies were sent last I cannot write myself which I would otherwise have done—1
Will you therefore be so kind as to write a line to the two men who will ultimately receive the two copies which were sent to you and ask them to be so good as to return them to “C Darwin Down Beckenham. Kent”
