German physician and anatomist. MD, Giessen, 1855. Demonstrator in anatomy, Munich, 1855; honorary professor of medicine, 1868; professor extraordinarius, 1870; professor of anatomy and co-director of the anatomical institute, 1880. Wrote on anatomical and anthropological topics.
