William Brougham, 2d Baron Brougham and Vaux

Law reformer. Brother of Henry Peter Brougham. BA, Cambridge (Jesus College), 1819. Called to the bar, 1823. Whig MP for Southwark, 1831–5. Appointed master in Chancery, 1831. Instrumental in the abolition of the office of master in Chancery in 1852.
