Charles William Hamilton
1802–80
Irish landowner and land-agent. Educated at Trinity College, Dublin. Justice of the Peace for County Meath. Partner in the firm of Hamilton and Norton, agents to the dukes of Leinster. Life member of the Royal Dublin Society from 1834; served as secretary of the Geological Society of Dublin, and as a council member for the Royal Zoological and Royal Horticultural Societies of Ireland. Elected fellow of the Geological Society of London, 1838.
