Penelope Boothby
1785–91
Daughter of Brooke Boothby (1744–1824) and Susanna Boothby. Formed a friendship with Joshua Reynolds while he was painting her portrait. Memorialised after her early death by an elaborate monument in Ashbourne church, Derbyshire, and in poems written by her father.
