Dear Sir
I take the liberty of suggesting that if you send any copies of my Journal to the Periodicals that you would send one to the Gardeners Chronicle; as I have sometimes contributed to it, I think it not unlikely that they would notice it favourably.—
I shall have the M.S. of the Part II ready in 4 or
5 days.— I presume you will give me a copy of my Journal for myself
& shall you think me very unreasonable if I ask you to let me have one dozen
copies at prime cost to give to my neighbours & some naturalists who have
assisted me.?— Anyhow wd you be so kind as to let me have two
copies (one for self & one for Mr
“C. Darwin Esqre
“care of G. Snow
“Nag's Head
“Borough”
I am sorry to trouble you with so many notes.
Yours sincerely | C. Darwin
