To A. G. Butler   1 July [1871]1

Down, | Beckenham, Kent.

July 1st

My dear Sir

Many thanks for your various notes.2 I shd very much like to see, & hear your views, sometime about the Brahmæa:—3 I returned yesterday from London & took your former notes in my pocket every day, in the hopes of getting to the museum, but failed, as my strength is not equal to my wishes.—4 I hope when next in London, to be more successful, & your notes shall come up again.

With very many thanks. | Yours sincerely | Ch. Darwin
