Cresy Memorial Fund

Dear Sir

I beg to acknowledge the receipt of your handsome donation of 50£ towards the above fund—1

You will doubtless be gratified to learn that the sum now paid & promised is about 1000£. It is proposed to invest the money in the purchase of a permanent annuity for Mrs. Cresy.2 Mrs. Cresy is deeply grateful for the spontaneous liberality of her late husbands friends
