My dear Sir

I have called on you, to solicit your vote & interest at the Athenæum Club (if you ever attend the evening meetings) in favour of my brother, Erasmus Darwin, at the ballot on next Monday (7th). If you can so far oblige me, I shall esteem it a great kindness.
