Returns [Fritz?] Müller's work [probably Für Darwin (1864)]. It is a remarkable memoir.
My dear M
I return you Muller with many thanks. I wish I had read it before delivering my lecture on metamorphoses.
On some points he seems to me to contradict himself, & in places his meaning is obscure, but it is certainly a remarkable memoir.
Hoping you continue to improve I remain | Yours affect | John Lubbock
