Transcription

Mr & Mrs C. Darwin (having heard from Mme de Sismondi of M. de Candolle's arrival in London) request the favor of M. de Candolle's company to dinner on Monday next May the 27th at six o'clock to meet Mr Henslow Professor of Botany at Cambridge.

Mr Darwin only learnt today that Mr Henslow would be here on Monday & he therefore hopes that M. de Candolle will excuse the liberty he takes in hoping to see him at so very short a notice.
