I must this vy evn'g give you joy of haing secured the very sweetest most sympatiys of wives— you will be as happy as happy can be & I do most heartily rejoice it is all settled— I was quite taken by surprise not thinking the evnt was so near taking place. how vy good of you to sacrifice yourself one of your vy few days by comg over here & how I shall like to see you again & I quite envy all at Shrewby having you, though I suppose you will soon be back again at Maer— Jos is as much pleased as I am & bids me tell you so & little thought what an important despatch he was the bearer of— We were talking last night of the chances & probabilities.— my best love to all at home particularly my Father who will be made vy happy by yr news.
