To J. A. H. de Bosquet 13 August [1854]
Down Farnborough Kent
Augt. 13th.
Dear Sir
I received the day before yesterday your most kind present of your two valuable volumes.—1 I congratulate you on their final publication; their illustrations are really admirable, & the infinite labour which you must have bestowed on the subject is worthy of all praise.— I was interested by your remarks on the geological distribution of the Entomostraca.—2
I too have finished some weeks ago my volume,3 but when it will be actually published depends on the Ray Society.—4 As soon as I get copies, I will do myself the pleasure of sending you one.5
With every good wish for success in your scientific pursuits, & with very sincere respect, I beg to remain | Dear Sir | Yours sincerely | Chas. Darwin
