Mr Darwin presents his compliments to Mr & Mrs. Mudie & is much obliged for the honour of their invitation. Mr. Darwin fears that he cannot come up to London on that day, otherwise he would have had much pleasure in accepting Mr & Mrs. Mudies’ kind invitation.—
