Oct. 16th 1880
My dear Sir
You will see by the enclosed that M. Reinwald wants to publish a French Translation of my book, but is a little doubtful, & very naturally so, on account of expense.—1 I wish, therefore, to supply him with stereotypes of the 195 cuts at prime cost. Will be so good as to find out from Mess Clowes2 what the cost is, & inform me, & I will write to M. Reinwald.
My dear Sir | Yours sincerely | Ch. Darwin
P.S. | Please make memorandum that I shall require 60 copies with edges cut for presentation.—3
