My dear Sir

I have had a letter from Mr Mason, requesting me as a favour to pay my subscription half-yearly & at the dates of the 16th of Feb. & 16th of August.— Would you kindly do this for me.— Though on reflexion, I do not see, how you can earlier than Lady Day & Michaelmas. Perhaps you will be so good as to pay as soon as you receive the Rent & then it will be somewhere near the dates requested.

I hope that you will excuse this trouble & believe me, My dear Sir | Yours very faithfully | C. Darwin

You can, if you like keep back 5£ next Lady Day & thus pay as Mr Mason requests.—
