Your favor of the 5th. in which you refer to a new edition of yr. “Descent of of Man” is at hand.2
We shall be very glad to receive stereotype plates of the work, including wood cuts, and pay Mr. Murray 50£ for the casts—3 Some of the stereotypes of the cuts of the last edition were poorly done rendering quite difficult to print. Will you please bring this to the notice of Mr. Murray & we have no doubt it will be corrected in future. We are desirous of receiving the plates as soon as possible as the present edition is exhausted. They may be delivered to our agency 16 Little Britain & they will be forwarded to us.4
Your proposed work on ‘Carnivorous Plants’ we also desire to receive on the same terms.5 We are happy to say that your works continue to have good sale.

Summary

Will publish CD’s proposed book [Insectivorous plants (1875)] on same terms as other works.
