[A. L. s. to an unnamed correspondent asking for some pamphlets, the titles of which have been sent him by Dr. Spengel from Germany.2 1 page 8vo. At the foot of this letter Darwin has written ‘The Titles are next Page’ but this is missing.]

Johann Wilhelm Spengel had sent CD a revised bibliography of works on Darwinian theory published mainly in German (see letter from J. W. Spengel, 4 November 1871 and n. 3).
