Dear Sir

I send you herewith £100. in £5. Bank Notes agreeably to your request.1 The numbers of the New South Wales Bonds purchased on your account are as follows:

Nos 12260/2 Series A2. payable 1st Jany 1892
" 8827/33 " L3. " 1st. July 1900

10 Bonds of £100. each which we have placed with your other Securities in our custody.2

CD recorded a payment of £100 to himself from his bank account on 29 September 1871 (CD’s Account books–banking account (Down House MS)).
The purchase of £1000 of New South Wales bonds on 12 September 1871 is recorded in CD’s Investment book (Down House MS).
