50A, Albemarle Street, London, W.

Feby. 15 1871

My dear Sir

We are doing our utmost to get yr work forward.1

The printing will all be finished tonight & tomorrow the binders will get perfect copies.

I have here already your copies of Vol 1—written in, so that we have only to get the same number of copies of Vol 2, & then we will send them all out expeditiously.

Your own 30 copies, shall be amongst the first batch & I hope to despatch them on Friday.

We cannot publish before the middle or end of next week, as we cannot make a partial delivery

I suspect the whole edition of 2500 Copies will be out of our hands by Saturday week.2

Yrs faithfully | Robt Cooke

C. Darwin Esqre
