Permettez moi de vous remercier bien sincèrement du beau cadeau que vous m’avez fait.2 Je ne sais vraiment ce que je dois admirer davantage en vous: la finesse de vos observations, ou cette vigeur, cette force infatigable de travail, que vous avez du Vous conserver jusque dans un âge si avancé. Je me réjouis de voir Monsieur Votre fils Vous seconde si bien dans vos recherches et je Vous en félicite cordialement.3

Agréez, je Vous prie, l’assurance de ma plus haute considération et de tout mon devouement.

I am very pleased to see that your son assists you so well in your research and I heartily congratulate you.3
