My dear Clark

I have been a shocking time in answering your note. My father read your notes on the limpet over yesterday & says the case is quite new to him & very interesting— He has a dim notion of having read accounts of their making pits to sit in—& he thinks there are specimens among the Cretaceous fossils at the Palaeontolog. Soc which might be worth looking at. He thinks your paper quite worth publishing somewhere.2 It is a good read. [The] Zoological or perhaps the Linnean would be the perfect place but I believe there is a great block on the publishing anything new [2 or 3 words illeg] I don't know whether it has been [2 words illeg] Zoological or the Geolog Soc?
