My dear Romanes
I send a PS to my letter of this morning, to say that the carrots have arrived, and as they are so small it seemed the best plan to pot them & place them in the greenhouse.1 After they have grown for a short time, then I think it would be better to let the earth dry somewhat & let them remain almost dormant till the spring— The label came off—but you will know to which it belonged
Yours very sincerely | Ch. Darwin
