Darwin Correspondence Project

To John Murray   14 February [1872]1

Down, | Beckenham, Kent.

Feb 14

My dear Sir

I hope you will send a copy of Origin to the Pall Mall Gazette, as I hear that they intend reviewing it together with Mivart’s Genesis, at some considerable length;2 but I do not know who the reviewer is, or whether it is to be favourable or hostile—

Yours sincerely | Ch. Darwin

Footnotes
