My dear Father,
I send you off proofs by afternoon post.1 The original & the other copy of proof I send tonight.
The third copy of proof I keep. I have not had the diagram by me to check the letters & figures by. I see they say it will be about 400 hundred only, quite a moderate book.2
I will check the letters with the diagram in my 5th edition tonight.3
I have been down to Bournemouth for a Sunday & found Edmund pretty brisk.4
