Kölliker was delighted when I told him you could see him on Good Friday, & I only hope that you will not be put to any inconvenience by our visit.¹

Trains will run as on Sunday; & we intend to start from Charing Cross at 2.30 P.M., arriving at Orpington at 3.7. We shall delight in a walk over to Down, provided the weather is not too bad, in which case we should be obliged to forgo the pleasure of seeing you.

We shall be glad if you can give us a lift back to the station; but Good Friday is frequently a holiday for servants, & neither I nor Kölliker (who is a mountaineer) would think it a hardship to return per pedes apostolorum²
