Darwin Correspondence Project

From Asa Gray   23 August 1869

115, Jermyn St, London

23d Aug. 1869

My Dear Darwin

We are back in England at length, I am glad to say,— the Hookers’ being away from Kew I can learn nothing of you. Pray tell me how you are.—& where. The last I knew you were down in Wales.

We expect to be here till near the end of the week, and then probably run down into Somersetshire on a short visit. Mrs. Gray (pretty well for her) sends best regards.

Ever, | A. Gray

Announces his return to England.
